Arrange the content in categories will be very easy for the readers to go through any article in any format. Readers of the blog website always tend to navigate through categories. Why you can’t implement the categories in your Google Blogspot powered website. In today’s tutorial we are showing how to link a menu link in your navigation bar to category(WordPress)/label(Blogspot) in your blogspot.
It will be great support for your readers to go a important section quickly without spending much time searching for the article. Suppose you have a apparel website having a beach ware promo, so you just link “Beachwear” category in the main menu.
How to Make Blogger Categories Into a Top Menu?
I assume you are familiar with Google Blogger interface.
Login in to your Blogger admin panel and edit one post in the Posts section. It will look like the below picture. On the right hand side you will see the labels section. In my example it is Beachwear and Apparel.
Now you have set your label for the posts.
Next, go the Layout section from the left menu, and the right side look for Pages widget. Click on the pencil icon, so you reach to a popup like below picture.
Click on the +Add External Link.
The format for the link is simply your blog URL + /search/label/YOURLABEL, where “YOURLABEL” is previously inserted label, such as “Beachwear”.
So your link will be as seen the text box http://mywebsite.com/search/label/Beachwear would display all the posts related to this section.
Use the Page Title textbox to name your menu item name in the navigation bar. Don’t worry if you don’t have a custom domain name, you can have the url like http://mywebsite.blogspot.com/search/label/Beachwear
